Virtus Finance Hosts Charity Football Game at Pride Park
Virtus Finance recently had the pleasure of hosting a charity football game at Pride Park, the iconic home of Derby County. This event was held in aid of the Burton Sands Charity, a local organization dedicated to supporting families and individuals in need within our community.
A Day of Fun and Fundraising
The event was a fantastic success, bringing together Virtus, our customers and community members for a day of football, fun, although as we get older the fun aspect gets a little harder, and fundraising. Our customers were able to showcase their skills on the same pitch as the newly promoted Derby County.
The match was filled with excitement, friendly competition, and some top-quality football, although that might be down to a matter of perspective. It was wonderful to see everyone come together for a good cause, demonstrating the power of sports in uniting people.
In addition to the football match, we organized a charity raffle to further support Burton Sands Charity. Thanks to the generosity of our participants and the wider community, we raised an impressive £1550. The raffle featured an array of fantastic prizes, including a Meta Quest VR headset, Apple products, and a golf day amongst others.
At Virtus Finance, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting local initiatives. This event was a testament to our commitment to corporate social responsibility and our dedication to making a positive impact. We are proud to support Burton Sands Charity and the invaluable work they do in our community.
We are already looking forward to organizing similar events in the future, with the hope of raising even more funds for worthy causes and bringing our community together. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this event a resounding success.
The charity football game at Pride Park was more than just a match; it was a celebration of community spirit and a demonstration of the positive impact that can be achieved when people come together for a common cause. Virtus Finance is honoured to have played a part in supporting Burton Sands Charity and looks forward to continuing our efforts in the future.
Stay tuned for more updates on our community initiatives and how you can get involved. Together, we can make a difference.
